BSC Foundation History

Shortly after Bismarck Junior College was founded in 1939 the Bismarck College Corporation was created.  ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ Bismarck College Corporation served until 1978 as a vehicle for receiving gifted funds.

In the fall of 1978, through the leadership of BJC President Dr. Kermit Lidstrom and the board members of the Corporation, the Bismarck College Corporation was re-organized.  ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ new organization was named the Bismarck Junior College Development Foundation.  ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ total assets as of June 30, 1979, were $69,186.

ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ Foundation, which is now known as the ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ Foundation, has enjoyed tremendous growth.  Today, the Foundation's total assets have surpassed $70 million.

We are grateful for the many donors who support ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ and make everything we do possible.
